Information About Chubby Cheeks
A cheery, six-line rhyme, "Chubby Cheeks" is also referred to in title by its full opening line: "Chubby Cheeks Dimple Chin. ' Little is known about the origin of the English nursery rhyme, including who wrote it and when it first came on the scene of popular children's songs.
Today, "Chubby Cheeks" is the inspiration of a spate of animated videos and is collected in as many Internet listings of poems for kids. While the opening of the rhyme, along with most of its wording, remains consistent from one version to the next, there is one notable discrepancy. In most versions, the fifth line reads: 'Teacher's pet, is that you?' However, in some adaptations, the same line contains the words 'Mama's pet, is that you?'. Regardless of the specific question, though, the sixth line in all cases presents the resounding answer - a "Yes!' repeated three times.
