The Starling

Lyrics

The Starling

There was an old cat climbed a tree
To seek out some food for her tea
When she came to a nest
Of starlings, all dressed
In black, like the picture you see.

The cat clapped her hands in great glee.
And cried: What a savoury tea!
But he soon gave a squeak,
For the mother bird's beak
Caused him painfully howling, to flee.
